Rikaz International LLC produces rock salt from its own mines at the Siwa Oasis in Egypt's Western Desert, and supplies the Egyptian market through its partner company, Rikaz Misr.

For deicing and for industrial purposes alike, the specification is the product. Purity, moisture and grain distribution are what a buyer actually pays for, and they are decided long before the salt reaches a port.
That is why we operate the extraction ourselves rather than trading someone else's output.

The deposit
Siwa Oasis, Western Desert.
Siwa sits in a depression below sea level in Egypt's Western Desert, where evaporation over geological time left halite of unusual purity close to the surface. Salt extracted from our mines there tests above 98% sodium chloride with moisture content under 1% — a starting point most producers can only reach through processing.
